Empowering Lives. Restoring Dignity. Building Community.
We are a community-driven nonprofit based in Milford, Delaware, dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, poverty, and crisis. Rooted in dignity, compassion, and service, we work every day to meet people where they are—and walk alongside them as they rebuild their lives.
Whether you are here to volunteer, donate, request support, or learn more about our mission, we’re so glad you’re here. Together, we can create a stronger, more caring community—one neighbor at a time.

💙 What We Do
At Milford Advocacy for the Homeless, we believe advocacy is more than providing services—it is about walking beside our neighbors through their most vulnerable moments. We stand with individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty, offering not only resources but also unwavering compassion, dignity, and respect.
Our programs are rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and supported on their journey to stability. Each initiative turns empathy into action, creating real pathways forward and building hope for a better tomorrow.
Our Programs Include:
- Blessings to Bounty: Recovering surplus food and redistributing it to nourish our community
- Emergency Support Pop-up Stations: Providing relief during extreme hot and cold weather
- Harvest Hub: Addressing food insecurity with nutrition-focused support
- ID Assist: Covering costs, transportation, and advocacy to help neighbors secure identification
- In-Kind Support: Offering gently used or new clothing and household essentials
- Journey Partners: Walking alongside neighbors to personalize advocacy, support, and resources
- Laundry of Love: Covering the cost of laundry services for those in need
- Second Wind Bicycles: Repairing and distributing refurbished bicycles for transportation and family connection
- Senior Center Memberships: Sponsoring access to wellness and community for older adults
- Welcome Home: Providing home goods and cleaning supplies for neighbors transitioning into housing
- Transitional Housing Support: Connecting neighbors to programs and resources for stable living
- Seasonal Community Outreach: Hosting dinners, supply drives, and connection events each season
Together, these efforts reflect our mission to meet people where they are, walk alongside them with compassion, and create impact through service.
