We are incredibly grateful for the generous $2,000 grant that supported our Harvest Hub: Nutrition for All program from September to December 2024. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to provide 2,100 nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in our Dover Community!
This grant empowered us to:
Partner with Bounty to Blessings to redistribute surplus food, reducing waste and stretching our resources.
Work with Milford Central Academy’s Life Skills Class, where students prepared over 100 PB&J sandwiches weekly, gaining valuable experience and making a difference.
Ensure meals were transported and distributed efficiently, even on weekends when other resources were unavailable.
These meals didn’t just nourish bodies—they helped families stay housed, utilities connected, and provided hope during challenging times. Special meals during Christmas/New Year’s brought joy and warmth to many who had little else to celebrate.
Your support fuels change, Kent County Youth Philanthropy Board. Together, we are building a more caring, resilient community!
Thank you also to our ODB-Dover Volunteer Team who prepared and delivered meals, to organizations who participate in our food recovery program, “Bounty to Blessings” and to In-Kind donations that helped us to increase the number of meals from an expected 1600 to 2100.
