September 6, 2025, Milford Advocacy for the Homeless (MAH) hosted a special Volunteer Appreciation Picnic to honor the incredible individuals who make our mission possible. Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do, and this event was our way of saying thank you.

We were blessed to gather at the beautiful property of Fork and Tune in Milford, who generously opened their space for us. Surrounded by nature, music, and laughter, we shared a meal together and celebrated the passion, service, humanity, and impact that our volunteers bring to the community every single day.

At MAH, we know that every act of kindness makes a difference. Whether it’s 30 minutes or several hours, every bit of time, energy, and talent our volunteers share creates ripples of hope. They help us meet people where they are, walk alongside them with dignity, and support them as they rebuild their lives.

During the picnic, each volunteer was recognized for their dedication. Certificates of Appreciation were presented, but more importantly, heartfelt gratitude was expressed. Our community is stronger because of their compassion.

This gathering was not only about recognition, but also about building relationships. Volunteers had the chance to connect, share stories, and enjoy fellowship together. The sense of unity and joy was a reminder that service is not just about giving, it’s about belonging.

To all of our volunteers: thank you. Your dedication fuels our mission and brings light to our neighbors’ lives. It is because of you that we can do what we do.
