Our “Help Starts Here” Page Has Been Updated
When life becomes overwhelming, knowing where to begin can be one of the hardest steps. Someone may need food, shelter, clothing, identification, transportation, or simply a person who will listen without judgment. At Milford Advocacy for the Homeless, we want every neighbor facing a hard season to know they are not alone.
We have updated “Help Starts Here” page to make it easier to find the resources and programs that may help. This page is a starting point for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk of becoming homeless, or need extra support while working toward stability. It includes information about shelter connections, food support, ID assistance, clothing, bicycles, and emotional support.
Each service listed on the page represents a step forward. A meal can bring relief. An ID can open doors to employment, housing, and benefits. A bicycle can help someone get to work or appointments. Clothing can restore comfort and confidence. Emotional support can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and not walking through this alone.
Our work is guided by the values of Passion, Service, Humanity, and Impact.
These values shape how we respond to need, how we share resources, and how we treat every person with dignity and respect. We believe support should begin with compassion and continue with practical steps that help people move forward.
If you or someone you know is facing a difficult time, we invite you to visit our updated Help Page. It may be the first step in connecting with available resources, programs, and support. You are not alone. We are here to walk alongside you.
