Transportation

Our greatest daily challenge is reaching all of the displaced individuals within our community. We want to ensure that they have meals, so that they don’t go to bed hungry and clothing to ensure that they are not exposed to the elements.

Imagine… a brightly colored mini-bus that has a route that stops throughout the ward on a schedule. Inside there is a small food pantry, clothing pantry, packaged meals and a set or two of table & chairs. At each stop, people walk into the warm/cool bus, shop for the food & clothing they need, grab a meal, then head outside to the back of the van and pick-up a donated bike, so that they have transportation around town and to their job.

If you can envision this an would like to help make this dream a reality donations can be made by clicking on the donate page or by sending a check to MAH, PO Box 585, Milford, DE 19963

Warming Center

Everyday, we receive calls from individuals who need a place to get warm or cool off when Brandywine Drop-In Center is closed and Code Purple is not open. They need a place to sit-down, relax and have a friendly conversation. Most displaced individuals only have a tent or a vehicle to spend all of their time.

Our vision is to have a place where people can come to, enjoy a beverage, have a meal, play a game, watch TV or simply just relax while having a friendly conversation. If you own a residential home or a building that you would be willing to donate, we want to chat with you.
