Think about this… if you want to go to work in the morning, how do you get there and how long does it take you?

If you are displaced and have no housing security, you are typically walking to your job. That means that your job needs to be very cloe and you will need 30 minutes or more allowed to get there. Did you know that many of our homeless hold jobs? This is why we have focused on getting them a means of transportation.

Bikes have turned out to be the best resource of transportation for the homeless. The cost of maintainin is low and it gives them a range of miles instead of a mile to find employment. We get donations of bikes both used and new. Working with Brandywine Counseling, we create request lists for bikes and then have fulfillment events where we handout bikes to those who expressed a need.

Each week there are new requests for bikes. If you have a bike to donate, please call us at 302-643-247 to make arrangements for pick-up or drop-off. Thanks to the generous donations of our community, family and friends, we are able to keep up with those requests.
