Position Summary:
Milford Advocacy for the Homeless (MAH) is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead and oversee its marketing efforts, driving the organization’s brand awareness and engagement across multiple platforms. The Marketing Manager will supervise team members responsible for social media, digital content, paper media, and branding, ensuring a consistent and impactful message that aligns with MAH’s mission to support individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. This role is key to growing community support, volunteer involvement, and donor engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy Development:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with MAH’s mission and goals. Oversee campaigns that promote key programs like Bounty to Blessings, Laundry of Love, Code Purple Transportation, and seasonal events.
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise and guide a team of marketing volunteers, including Social Media Coordinators, Content Creators, and Print Media Specialists. Provide clear direction and support, ensuring all marketing materials are consistent, engaging, and effective.
  • Social Media Management:
    Oversee social media team members responsible for creating and scheduling content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Ensure social media aligns with overall branding, increases engagement, and effectively communicates MAH’s programs, events, and impact.
  • Digital Content & Website Management:
    Collaborate with the Digital Engagement and Content Creator to produce high-quality content, including blog posts, videos, infographics, and newsletters. Ensure the MAH website is regularly updated with program news, volunteer spotlights, and relevant resources.
  • Paper Media and Print Advertising:
    Work with team members responsible for paper media (e.g., flyers, posters, brochures) to create materials for events, outreach, and community engagement. Ensure physical marketing materials are strategically distributed at key locations in Milford and surrounding areas.
  • Branding & Graphic Design:
    Maintain and elevate MAH’s brand identity across all platforms. Collaborate with designers to ensure consistency in logo usage, colors, fonts, and messaging. Produce branded materials that strengthen MAH’s visibility in the community and resonate with stakeholders.
  • Event Marketing & Promotion:
    Develop and execute promotional strategies for MAH’s events, such as volunteer drives, fundraising initiatives, and community outreach efforts. Work with team members to create marketing materials and media that highlight these events, driving attendance and support.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns across all channels. Provide regular reports to MAH leadership, identifying key insights and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Collaboration & Partnerships:
    Collaborate with program leads and external partners to align marketing efforts with MAH’s mission and amplify the organization’s impact in the community. Support cross-promotion efforts and partnerships with local businesses, media outlets, and community organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing, digital content management, or nonprofit communications.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team and coordinating projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple marketing channels.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience in branding and storytelling, with a passion for conveying a powerful message.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively with various teams to meet the organization’s objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with the Milford community and local organizations is a plus.

Commitment:
This is a part-time or volunteer position, with flexible hours. The Marketing Manager will collaborate with the leadership team and volunteers to ensure the success of all marketing efforts. Occasional availability for weekend events may be required.
