Position Summary:
Milford Advocacy for the Homeless is seeking an organized and detail-oriented In-Kind DonationsSorting Team Member to support our mission by sorting and organizing donated items. This role is essential to ensuring that the needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness or poverty are met through the timely and accurate distribution of donated goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Donation Sorting and Organization:
- Sort and categorize in-kind donations as they are received, ensuring that all items are clean, in good condition, and properly labeled.
- Organize and maintain an orderly storage space, ensuring that items are easily accessible and well-maintained.
- Regularly inventory donated items to track available resources and identify gaps in inventory for specific needs.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other volunteers, donors, and the community.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize items
- A commitment to serving vulnerable populations with empathy and respect.
- Experience in warehouse, retail, or donation management is a plus, but not required.
