There is a place for you here, and it feels like family.
At the heart of everything we do are relationships built on trust, compassion, and walking alongside one another through life’s moments. Volunteering is more than lending a hand. It is about sharing time, building connections, and becoming part of a community that cares deeply for one another.
Whether you are organizing behind the scenes, supporting events, or connecting directly with neighbors, you will be part of something meaningful and lasting. We invite you to explore the opportunities below and find where you feel called.

Sorting Clothing & Fulfilling Requests
The In-Kind Donations & Fulfillment Team helps turn generous community donations into practical support for neighbors in need. Volunteers receive, sort, organize, and prepare clothing, hygiene products, household goods, and other essential items to fulfill individual requests. With compassion and care, team members help ensure every donation is handled responsibly and reaches the people who need it most, restoring dignity, comfort, and hope one request at a time.

Volunteer Drivers
Volunteer Drivers help keep MAH programs moving by transporting people, donations, food, supplies, and requested items throughout the community. Opportunities may include driving an MAH bus or using a personal vehicle for local pickups and deliveries. Most assignments take about 1 to 1.5 hours and offer a flexible way to make a direct impact by helping essential resources reach neighbors who need them.
Adminastrative
Program and Team Administrative Volunteers provide the behind-the-scenes support that helps MAH programs run smoothly and serve neighbors effectively. Responsibilities may include scheduling, data entry, tracking inventory or requests, organizing records, communicating with volunteers and partners, and assisting with reports and follow-up. This flexible role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and ready to use their skills to strengthen the impact of a community-focused team.

Bicycle Repair/Refurbish
Bicycle Repair & Refurbishment Volunteers help give donated bicycles a second life and provide reliable transportation to neighbors in our community. Volunteers inspect, clean, repair, and prepare bicycles for safe use, helping ensure each bike is ready for someone who may depend on it for work, appointments, school, or daily needs. This hands-on opportunity is a meaningful way to use practical skills, learn alongside others, and help restore independence one bicycle at a time.

Food Recovery & Distribution
Bounty to Blessings Volunteers help turn recovered food into nourishing support for neighbors across our community. Team members receive and organize donated food, prepare family-sized boxes, and help distribute them to people who need them most. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is passionate about reducing food waste, serving others, and making sure good food reaches local families. Volunteers should be able to safely lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
New Home Furnishing
Welcome Home Volunteers help transform an empty space into a place that feels like home. Team members find, organize, load, and deliver gently used furniture, household goods, and other essentials to neighbors who have recently secured housing. Few things compare to seeing the joy and relief on someone’s face when we arrive with the items they need to begin again. This hands-on role requires the ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture while serving others with dignity, compassion, and care.
